As an independent, family-run dairy, we’ve been farming for over 500 years — spanning 27 generations.
In that time, we’ve learnt not only how to produce exceptional milk, but also how to care for the land that sustains us. Our mission is simple: to provide premium dairy without compromise — reliable for our partners, respectful of the environment, and rooted in tradition.

The Farmers Behind The Milk
Our 400-strong herd of Holstein cows graze on some of the best grassland in the country, milked three times daily to produce organic skimmed, semi-skimmed and whole milk. We also skim the higher fat layer from the milk to produce organic single cream, double cream and whipping cream.
Somerset is famous for its dairy farms, and Chew Valley Dairy is surrounded by smaller producers who supply us with conventional milk and cream, extending our range to suit our customers’ needs.
